They have a great selection of contemporary and classic books and a wonderful kid's room. Visit the historic Tate House. Built in 1755, the Tate House is now a museum which offers visitors chance to experience life in the 18th century. Having survived the destruction of Falmouth during the Revolution and the fires that devastated Portland, Tate House is the only pre-Revolutionary home in Greater Portland open to the public.
